Abilities
- Standing/Walking – Constantly; includes stairs, tiles, rubber mats, linoleum, concrete, padded carpet, marble, and gravel.
- Crouching (bend at knees) – Frequently; includes lifting, completing tasks performed at low levels, and putting supplies and materials away.

- Perform plumbing fixture repair and replacement, PVC/CU pipe work, drain clearing and repair, water heater maintenance, and related tasks.
- Handle carpentry duties such as drywall, wallpaper, painting, caulking, tile repair, and replacement of windows, doors, locks, and furniture.
- Conduct mechanical‑equipment maintenance on washer, dryer, vacuum cleaners, plaza gates, and similar items.
- Complete other general repairs as necessary.
- Possess good mechanical knowledge for safely operating and maintaining all tools.
- Respond to and complete all work orders in a timely manner, closing them out as completed.
- Maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.
- Keep all work areas, shop, and guest rooms neat and orderly.
- Maintain proper inventory levels.
- Perform daily building/room audits.
- Check all exterior lighting, public area lighting, and signage daily, including parking lot lights, high rises, entrance signs, walking lights, corridors, lobby, and elevator.
- Be punctual, report to work in proper uniform with name tag, and maintain daily personal hygiene.
- Help maintain the overall appearance of the hotel’s public space and hallways to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Respond to hotel staff and customer reports of non‑functioning equipment immediately.
- Paint and touch up all areas of the hotel, maintaining guest rooms in perfect condition.
- Perform preventive maintenance throughout the hotel and report progress to the office coordinator.
- Understand hotel fire alarm procedures and other emergency protocols.
- Attend required meetings.
- Be courteous to all customers and fellow employees.
- Handle hotel projects from start to finish as assigned.
- Report unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions.
