Job Summary
Performs an advanced level of activities involved in the design and maintenance of corrosion control systems.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities- Provide advanced-level support with installation, maintenance, and monitoring of corrosion control systems.
- Perform non‑destructive testing on facilities.
- Install, test, adjust, and/or repair rectifiers, anodes, and test points.
- Diagnose and repair interference or foreign‑contact problems.
- Conduct continuity tests, soil resistivity surveys, and other special surveys.
- Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and repair cathodic protection tools and equipment.
- Drive and ensure maintenance of company vehicles.
- Complete reports and documents including test readings, atlas pages, maps, plats, diagrams, job orders, completion reports, and equipment maintenance reports.
- Compile, verify, and prepare financial information such as forecasted versus actual expenses, governmental/regulatory reports, financial reports, and reconciliation reports.
- Measure internal, external, and atmospheric corrosion per industry standards.
- Conduct environmental activities specified by the position.
- Perform DOT covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline; respond promptly to dangerous or hazardous conditions to prevent injury or damage.

Work Experience- 3–5 years related experience in corrosion control.
- Experience and training in company and governmental operating and safety procedures.
- Construction and maintenance activities, locating lines and operating One‑Call System policies and procedures.
- Use, function, maintenance, and repair of cathodic protection tools and equipment.
- Facility and system operations experience.
- Experience with pipe coating, basic chemistry, electronics, and metallurgy.
- Reading and interpreting maps, drawings, procedures, survey results, plats, atlas pages, rectifier reports, and applicable operation and repair manuals.
Skills and Abilities
- Basic arithmetic calculations.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work in confined areas and on elevated surfaces.
- Capability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
- Proficient operation of tools and equipment.
- Driving for extended periods.
NACE Cathodic Protection Certification/Corrosion Certification preferred.
Physical DemandsWork requires heavy physical effort, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and frequent standing, walking, and reaching. Prolonged exposure to vibration, high pitches, faint noise, and potential electric shock is expected. The job requires working in outdoor weather, humid, extreme cold, extreme heat, and dusty or gas‑laden environments.
