Job Summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking experienced HVAC Mechanics to join our fast‑growing North American HVAC business. You will provide maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems, and support our customers with solutions and recommendations.

• Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement on commercial HVACR systems.
• Collaborate with Journeymen to repair centrifugal, steam turbine, and open‑drive screw chiller equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, including vibration, shaft alignment, and dial‑indicator use.
• Provide quotes and recommendations for service‑related items and upsell opportunities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers during commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Travel to customer sites 10‑20% of the time to support troubleshooting, installation, and repair activities.

• Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe‑Fitting Industry.
• Minimum 3 years of commercial/industrial HVAC mechanical troubleshooting experience (rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors).
• Proficiency with vibration equipment, shaft alignment, and mechanical diagnostic tools.
• Must pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Valid driver’s license and, where applicable, Universal EPA refrigerant license and state or local licenses.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, produce quotes, and document corrective actions.
• Self‑starter with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous learning.

• Hourly rate: $30.25 (determined by CBA/rate sheet).
