Program Overview

The Mechanic Internship Program is designed for motivated individuals interested in learning mechanical skills through hands-on experience. Interns will work alongside experienced maintenance and mechanic staff while developing valuable skills in equipment maintenance, repair, and shop operations.

No previous mechanic experience is required. Applicants with prior exposure to equipment, tools, or maintenance work are encouraged to apply.

  • Basic automotive maintenance
  • Shop or workshop experience
  • Mechanical hobbies and projects
What Interns Will Learn

Throughout the six-month internship, participants will receive hands‑on training in:

Shop Safety
  • Safe work practices
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Equipment safety procedures
  • Proper lifting and handling techniques
Tool Use & Care
  • Identification of common tools
  • Proper tool selection
  • Tool maintenance and organization
  • Shop cleanliness and safety
Small Engine Repair & Maintenance
  • Engine components and operation
  • Troubleshooting basic mechanical issues
  • Preventive maintenance procedures
Maintenance Skills
  • Spark plug inspection and replacement
  • Air filter inspection and replacement
  • Tire pressure checks and maintenance
  • Oil changes and fluid checks
  • Lubrication procedures
Track & Equipment Maintenance
  • Track safety inspections
  • Daily maintenance procedures
  • Equipment readiness checks
  • Preventive maintenance practices
