Sprinkler Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, suppression life safety product lines and similar competitors’ product lines.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installation and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines.
• Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during inspections.
• Complete service acknowledgements/inspections with proper coding using devices such as laptop computers, smartphones, or hardcopy.
• Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Carry or move equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Assist foreman in the installation of wet, dry, pre‑action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment.
• Service area will include Lubbock and 3‑4 hours out.

• 2‑5 years of documented experience in sprinkler systems RME‑I/NICET II.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre‑action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multi‑meter usage.
• Capable of physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50‑70 lbs.
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment up to 40ft, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on‑call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
• Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.

Hourly range: $25‑$33. Position includes competitive benefits package.

Location:

Lubbock, TX; service area within 3‑4 hours out.
