Are you mechanically inclined? Are you a problem solver? Are you the person people go to when they need something fixed? This may be the gig for you. Clifford Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Generator Field Service Satellite Technician in the Lubbock area. The position requires an understanding of combustion engines; our products are typically driven by Diesel, Natural Gas, or Propane engines, and an understanding of electricity.
We work with a wide range of AC power such as 120/240v single phase or 277/480v three phase, and DC controls ranging from 12v to 24v. A laptop interfaces with controls software.
Each day you’ll fire up your tablet/laptop to pull up your schedule, then leave from home in a company‑supplied service truck to travel to your first job site. The work may consist of a routine Planned Maintenance Inspection, an inspection requiring engine service, or a quoted service repair or an emergency trouble call. For more experienced technicians it may involve commissioning or starting up a newly installed generator.
You will only assist with commissioning, not installation. At the end of each task you’ll finalize paperwork electronically and sync it via a mobile technician application, which also pushes any schedule updates. You’ll return home at the end of your day; visits to the office are only needed for parts or supplies.
