Diesel Engine Mechanics - 14/14 - Up to $44/hr - Lubbock, TX

Diesel Engine Mechanics at Norton Energy Drilling play a vital role in maintaining and repairing engines that power the company’s drilling rigs. This position offers the opportunity to work both in the field and in the shop, diagnosing and overhauling diesel engines. The ideal candidate is experienced with Caterpillar 3500 series engines and thrives in outdoor, hands-on environments.

• $38 - $44 per hour

• Excellent working knowledge of popular diesel engine makes
• Ability to diagnose problems and make field repairs
• Good working knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematic diagrams
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Three years working with Caterpillar 3500 series engines

• Previous oilfield experience preferred
