SUMMARY :
Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. The Electrician works closely with Operations, Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives, preventative maintenance programs, and emergency repairs in a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical systems, including:
- Motors
- Motor controls
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- MCCs (Motor Control Centers)
- PLC systems
- Sensors and instrumentation
- Lighting systems
- Conveyors and processing equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, transformers, and control systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
- Read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- Blueprints
- P&IDs
- Technical manuals
- One-line diagrams
- Assist with startup, shutdown, and commissioning of plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical failures to reduce production downtime and improve reliability.
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies at all times.
- Comply with:
- OSHA regulations
- NFPA 70E requirements
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Arc flash safety standards
- Confined space procedures
- Hot work procedures
- Use proper PPE and maintain safe work practices in all areas of the facility.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment failures immediately.
- Participate in safety meetings, audits, inspections, and training activities.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards in maintenance shops and work areas.
- Complete scheduled PM work orders accurately and on time.
- Document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
- Recommend equipment improvements to increase uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
- Assist with root cause analysis investigations related to electrical failures.
- Support reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.
- Respond to maintenance calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with production personnel to prioritize repairs and minimize operational disruptions.
- Assist other maintenance team members as needed, including mechanics and instrumentation technicians.
- Support mill operations during peak production periods, shutdowns, and emergency situations. (On-call will be required)
- Complete other job duties as assigned by your supervisor/management.

- Participation in an on-call rotation may be required.
- Position operates in a 24/7 industrial manufacturing environment.
