Facilities Controls Technician

JOB TITLE:

Facilities Controls Technician Functions / Duties:

Install, maintain and repair electrical control systems for the facilities organization. Interface with multiple disciplines to accomplish defined tasks.

Responsibilities:

Repair and maintain existing control systems:

GE PLC systems

Square D plc systems

Scada System Design and Development Allen Bradley Control Systems Interface and work with Engineering, Safety, and maintenance staff on controls problems

Learn area critical control systems

Assist requested maintenance and equipment maintenance as needed

Current Skills /

Competencies:

Knowledge of basic control diagrams

Knowledge of control devices and instrumentation:

Sensors Transducers Field  Wiring Knowledge and experience on the design, programming and installation of PLCsKnowledge and experience on the design, programming and installation of VFDsGood verbal and written communication skills

Must be a proven team player and self-starter

Good problem solving and decision making skills

Minimum Requirements:

A.S. degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology or Licensed Electrician with similar controls experience
