As a Home Study Assessor, you’ll play a vital role in helping children move toward safe, stable, and permanent homes. In this field-based role, you’ll conduct comprehensive home studies and assessments that determine a family’s readiness to foster or adopt. Your work ensures families are prepared, supported, and aligned with child welfare standards, directly impacting the permanent outcomes for children.

- Conduct in-depth home studies and assessments in accordance with agency standards and regulatory requirements
- Interview prospective families and complete home visits to evaluate safety, stability, and readiness to care for children
- Prepare clear, accurate, and timely written home study reports that support certification and permanency decisions
- Guide and educate families throughout the home study process with professionalism, clarity, and compassion
- Collaborate with agency staff and leadership to ensure assessments meet quality and compliance expectations
- Maintain organized documentation and meet established timelines for assigned home studies
- Represent the agency’s mission, values, and commitment to children in every interaction
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related human services field
• Experience working with children, families, or social service systems preferred
• Strong assessment, interviewing, and professional writing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Qualifications:
WHAT YOU BRING (Basic Qualifications)• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related human services field preferred

• Strong assessment, interviewing, and professional writing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
