Fleet Coordinator will manage fleet maintenance to ensure the timely and accurate creation, dissemination and documentation of fleet maintenance. Performs billing functions in relation to fleet maintenance parts and repairs. Frequent verbal and written communication is required internally and externally. Makes notifications of delinquent accounts. Position is essential to the effective operation of all road equipment used to maintain county roads by the Consolidated Roads Department.

  • Receives and verifies invoices related to fleet maintenance.
  • Creates work orders, enters labor, contract and materials charges against the fleet work orders and closes fleet work orders when complete.
  • Performs periodic billing of fleet work orders.
  • Control inventories assigned to Fleet Management.
  • Maintains the integrity of the fleet work order system data.
  • Processes confidential information.
  • Maintains a filing system for accounts used to manage fleet and uniforms.
  • Develops process relative to the fleet work order system.
  • Develops forms for data collection related to fleet work orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:

Applicant must have a high school diploma or any equivalent, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must have and maintain a Texas driver’s license in good standing to meet job duties and responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Should be familiar with word processors, spreadsheet applications, work order software, presentation software, and database software for storing information efficiently. Be able to create documents, presentations, spreadsheets and data reports. Be able to communicate accurately and politely in both written and oral form. Have interpersonal skills that include the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently bend, stoop, squat, lie down, and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects weighing from 20 pounds up to 100 pounds, such as files and office equipment.

The employee must be able to operate office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
