P&D Driver

As a P&D Driver, you pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally. You will be the face of Southeast Freight Lines, serving our customers on a regular basis. You will drive in various conditions and handle vehicle operations such as coupling and uncoupling, connecting lines, and adjusting equipment. You are responsible for conducting vehicle inspections, managing the loading and unloading of cargo, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of transport documents, especially when handling hazardous materials.

Skilled maneuvering in challenging environments such as heavy traffic and tight spaces is essential. You will report any incidents or delays and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Excellent customer service and professionalism are required.

• Pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally.
• Perform vehicle inspections and maintain compliance with transport documents.
• Manage loading and unloading of cargo, including hazardous materials.
• Operate vehicle and equipment, including coupling/uncoupling and line connections.
• Navigate challenging traffic conditions and tight spaces.
• Report incidents, delays, and maintain logs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service and professionalism.

• Minimum of 6 months of driving experience (1 year preferred).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with endorsements for HAZMAT, Tanker, and Twin Trailers; no automatic restrictions.
• At least 21 years old.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English; perform simple mathematical calculations; handle receipts; read maps and road signs; maintain driving logs.
• Detailed knowledge of and compliance with DOT rules, regulations, and guidelines, including safe driving, hours of service, vehicle inspections, and transportation of hazardous materials.
• Meeting DOT physical qualifications and passing alcohol and drug tests.

Pay: $91,728 - $100,191 annually (average annual pay may vary based on experience, hours, and location). Job Type: Full-Time.
