Side Load Garbage Truck Driver

Waste Connections of Caprock is looking for a safety conscience CDL Route Driver to join the team in Lubbock, TX!

The ideal driver will have a self-motivated, go‑getting attitude, that is looking to excel and grow with our GROWING company!

• Safely driving a Commercial CDL Truck into a variety of environments (Residential, Construction, Commercial, etc.).
• Determining the best, convenient drop‑off location for dumpster to avoid property damage.
• Cautiously operating hydraulic hand controls to lift/load dumpster on/off truck.
• Securing the dumpster load, covering it appropriately and accounting for weight shift before departing.
• Reading route sheets and servicing each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Performing daily pre and post trip inspections.
• Interacting courteously with customers.
• Other miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.

• Extensive physical activity: requires strenuous walking, heavy lifting, pushing or pulling objects over 75 pounds, exiting high‑set truck, moderate noise level.
• Work environment involves exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, requiring adherence to safety precautions.
• Exposure to outdoor weather, wet/humid conditions, fumes and vibration.

• At least 21 years of age with a satisfactory driving record.
• Class A or B CDL

• Ability to work Monday – Friday starting at around 5:30 a.m., approximately 48‑52 hours a week, with overtime.
• Physically comfortable with job demands.
