Lubbock, TX — 1st Shift (Mon – Fri: 6AM–2:30PM) + OT as requested
Pay$18.00 – $20.00 per hour + overtime opportunities
What you will doAs an Order Picker or Picker Packer, you will read incoming orders and select the correct items from warehouse shelves before staging them for delivery. Duties include operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, updating inventory counts, and counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill orders.
How you will do it- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collect order notes to fulfill deliveries.
- Pick out ordered items from storage shelves or rooms using barcodes, serial numbers, etc.
- Securely shrink-wrap items before placing them in envelopes or boxes.
- Operate handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations.
- Load items into delivery vehicles.
- Update stock inventory after each item is retrieved.
- Manage stock control including item replenishment and storage.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as necessary.
- Ability to read and write in the English language
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certified (minimum 1 year)
- Prior experience with standard sit-down, stand up forklift
- Prior experience using a cherry-picker forklift
- Must have good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards)
- Experience/knowledge of inventory management
