Senior Support Worker - Children’s Residential Child Sexual Exploitation Service (Shropshire)

Ludlow, Shropshire

Employment Details

    Full Time, Permanent
  • Working hours:

    40 hours per week
  • Hourly rate: £14.50 per hour
  • Annual salary: £30,160 plus £3,000 sleep‑in bonus (average), rising to £31,140 after 18 months
  • Welcome bonus: £2,000
  • Overtime: 1.25× basic rate

You will join a supportive team in a fully equipped setting, working to enable each child and young person to achieve their personal best.

Responsibilities
  • Provide person‑centred support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Document, monitor and update care records daily using the electronic care recording system (Clearcare preferred).
  • Participate in induction, training and continuous development programmes.
  • Apply the company’s core values of integrity, accountability, commitment, responsibility, and enthusiasm in all actions.
  • Support safeguarding and welfare of all children within the service.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
  • At least two references covering the past two years, including all positions related to working with children and the vulnerable.
  • Previous experience in child or residential care (value of experience over specific role).
  • Proficiency in using digital systems and willingness to learn an electronic care recording system.
