Job Type: Full-Time (Regular)
Pay: $18.00–$22.00 per hour

Work Location: In-person — 1 Moody St, Ludlow, MA
ScheduleThis is a regular full-time position based at our Ludlow location. The standard schedule includes:
- Mon/Wed/Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Tuesday/Thursday 9:45 AM–6:15 PM
- No weekends required
The role also requires flexibility to provide coverage at any of our five physical therapy locations as needed for emergency coverage or to support vacation and time-off coverage.
About UsNew England Orthopedic Surgeons is a leading private orthopedic practice committed to providing exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Receptionist to join our dynamic team at our Ludlow office.
Position SummaryAs a Physical Therapy Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients. Your responsibilities will include welcoming patients, verifying insurance and identity, collecting co-pays and deductibles, and maintaining accurate data in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. A strong ability to multitask, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Greet and welcome patients upon arrival
- Direct patients to the appropriate physical therapist
- Answer and manage incoming calls, schedule appointments
- Verify insurance information and patient identity
- Collect co-payments and deductibles
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area
- Provide accurate information in person, via phone, and by email
- Maintain calendars and schedule meetings
- Perform clerical duties including filing, copying, faxing, and transcribing
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a medical receptionist
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with EMR systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience operating standard office equipment (fax, printer, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
- Professional appearance and customer service mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification in Office Management is a plus
