Your Role at KIK
Join our team as an experienced Forklift Operator managing production. In this role, the Forklift Operator safely operates forklifts and material‑handling equipment while supporting daily production needs.
Shift hours:
Monday–Thursday 6:00 am–4:00 pm with overtime on Friday and Saturday as required. Pay rate: $21.60 per hour.
- Safely operate forklift and material‑handling equipment.
- Perform inventory functions including cycle counts, physical inventory, and product checks.
- Load and receive materials from trailers.
- Load, store, and move materials in and out of racking.
- Perform loading documentation process in accordance with Hazmat rules.
- Operate and use the plant’s warehouse management system/RFID.
- Perform packing, quality checks, and documentation as required.
- Hand‑stack palletized product as necessary to ensure smooth facility operation.
- Ensure the final quality of every unit placed into a customer’s shipper; seek guidance if unsure of standards.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping in the immediate work area; report unsafe conditions.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and all plant policies.
- Work around high noise levels, depending on location.
- Interact with a variety of chemicals and chemical products.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strongly preferred: 2 years of forklift experience.
- English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.
- Visual concentration, alertness, and listening over extended periods.
- Ability to stand, sit, lift, bend, crouch, reach, and climb consistently for twelve hours.
- Ability to grasp and manipulate a variety of packaging components.
- Compliance with Health and Safety and GMP regulations.
- Ability to lift 45 lbs. from the floor occasionally.
- Ability to safely operate the forklift around co‑workers, other forklifts, and equipment for up to 12 hours.
- Experience working in non‑temperature‑controlled environments, including high temperatures and humidity.
- Willingness to work overtime where necessary.
