The Hampden County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a dedicated, highly qualified Nursing Supervisor to provide clinical leadership and oversee medical operations at the Stonybrook Stabilization and Treatment Center in Ludlow, MA. The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the daily clinical operations of the shift and the medical intake process, including triage, medical evaluations and assessments of incoming clients and individuals in custody, recognition of signs and symptoms of intoxication or acute withdrawal, and the provision of emergency medical services.
Work Schedule:Current Assignment:
Monday-Friday, 3-11 p.m.; must be able to work any shift as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for nursing staff, ensuring high-quality care is delivered in accordance with established standards of nursing practice, Department of Public Health requirements, policies and protocols.
Oversee the assessment, treatment, education and documentation of patients, while promoting effective communication and a positive, healthy work environment.
Coordinate emergency and post-emergency hospital admissions and follow-up care to ensure continuity of treatment and a smooth transition back to the facility.
Manage staffing needs, shift operations, staff training, on-call coverage and critical shift-to-shift communication.
Monitor nursing care, documentation, controlled medications, sharps and instruments to ensure safety, accountability and compliance.
Represent the Medical Department in facility meetings and support staff preparation for accreditation audits and other departmental standards.
