starting pay new hires start at $52,843.92 a year. Once a new hire becomes certified, their annual salary increases to $55,835.09

eligibility applicants must be 18 years of age and have not reached their 36th birthday. Military service benefits: individuals who have served in the military and desire to have an additional five (5) points added to their passing score (70) must provide proof of an honorable discharge from active‑duty service of 180 days or more in the united states armed forces.

Applicants must provide a copy of their dd214 that states "honorable discharge" by the deadline.

applicants must present a valid driver’s license at the time of the test.

applicants scoring 70 or above on the examination should be prepared to participate in a physical agility test immediately after test results are posted. Bring appropriate clothing for the agility testing (shorts, tennis shoes, t‑shirt, etc.). Physical agility requirements apply.

• high school diploma or equivalent
• must be able to pass a polygraph test, departmental interview, and drug screen
