As a Registered Nurse (RN) on our Float/Flex Team, you will be a pivotal healthcare professional delivering compassionate, high-quality care that impacts our patients’ well‑being and recovery while maintaining a positive attitude and reliability.

- Utilize the nursing process to ensure appropriate patient care is provided in a cost‑effective, quality‑driven, and patient‑focused manner. Collect pertinent social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual data from the patient, significant others, and other healthcare team members.
- Perform ongoing assessment, formulate nursing diagnoses and goals, plan appropriate interventions, and evaluate the outcome of the interventions.
- Consistently document in the patient and unit records according to written health‑system standards of care to meet legal and quality patient care requirements.
- Provide appropriate teaching and information to patients and families, including information on pain management, nutrition, skin integrity, fall prevention, diabetes, disease process, smoking cessation, and discharge instructions.
- Demonstrate commitment to the goals and values of the patient, hospital, community, and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, appropriate ethical decision‑making, and ensuring patient safety.
- Use interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population. Participate in research activities, identify opportunities for research, and collaborate with the outcomes managers and department.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or equivalent, with at least one (1) year of RN experience; or Diploma Nursing with at least one (1) year of RN experience, whichever is first achieved upon hire.
- Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.
- Registered Nurse: TX license upon hire.
- Basic Life Support – CPR certification within 14 days of hire.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing on hire.
