Position: Travel Nurse RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit - $1,364 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel RN Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Lufkin, Texas for a 13‑week assignment.

Qualifications
  • One year recent experience as an ICU RN.
  • Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification.
  • TNCC, NIHSS certifications.
  • Other certifications or licenses may be required.
Essential Work Functions
  • Assess and monitor critically ill patients, recognizing subtle changes.
  • Administer complex medications and treatments per critical care protocols.
  • Operate advanced life‑support equipment.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort in high‑acuity ICU environments.
  • Document interventions and notify providers of status changes.
  • Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, etc.).
  • Document all assessments in a timely manner.
  • Educate patients and families about the ICU environment.
  • Communicate closely with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain proficiency in critical care procedures and technology.
  • Adhere to infection‑control and safety protocols.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties within scope.
  • Follow hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions; PC proficiency.
  • Physical ability: stand, move equipment 50‑100 lbs, push/pull, bend.
  • Interpersonal: work effectively with diverse personnel.
  • Technical/motor: perform fine manipulation and procedure assist.
  • Mental: cope with frequent public contact, work under pressure.
  • Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
