Job Summary
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide vital direct patient care, significantly contributing to patient well‑being and recovery as part of our compassionate healthcare team. You will assess patient conditions, administer medications, perform prescribed treatments, and meticulously document care. You will collaborate with RNs and physicians to implement individualized care plans, ensuring a seamless and high‑quality patient experience.
Responsibilities- Provide skilled patient care according to established nursing standards, meeting physical, psychological, developmental, and spiritual needs of patients assigned by the accountable RN.
- Document and record pertinent information related to patient demographics, vital signs, and nursing interventions as indicated by unit, service, and Health Systems’ policies.
- Provide indirect patient care, assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge process, perform housekeeping functions as delegated, act as a runner or transporter.
- Consistently document in the patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care to meet legal and quality patient care requirements; ensure documentation is neat, legible, and timely.
- Demonstrate commitment to continuum of care by optimizing patient flow: update assigned bed status, facilitate patient transfer and discharge, assist other departmental personnel when picking up or returning patients, and transport patients as needed.
- Graduation from a Vocational School Nursing program (upon hire).
- Licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas (upon hire).
- Basic Life Support – CPR within 14 days of hire.
