Role Overview
An Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides rapid, high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Responsibilities include triaging patients, administering treatments, monitoring vital signs, supporting physicians during procedures, documenting care, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Qualifications & SkillsRequires at least one year of recent ER experience, valid RN license, and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications. Preferred certifications include TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE. Must demonstrate critical thinking, excellent communication, physical stamina, technical proficiency, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key DutiesAssess and prioritize patient needs, explain procedures, administer medications, assist with emergency treatments, monitor patient safety, document in electronic medical records, and ensure adherence to safety and infection control standards.
