Medical Surgical with Telemetry registered nurses in Lufkin, Texas. This position involves providing high-quality care to adult patients with various diagnoses, including CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD, in a rural hospital setting. The role requires team collaboration, adaptability, and strong communication skills to serve the community effectively during night shifts.

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, scheduled by the manager; block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Schedule:
  
  48 hours per week with every other weekend required.
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Valid BLS (American Heart Association) certification, 18+ months of recent medical-surgical telemetry experience, excellent communication and time management skills.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Rural hospital experience is a plus.
• Patient Population:
  Patients with conditions such as CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and musculoskeletal issues.
• Unit Notes:
  The unit manages approximately 5-6 patients per nurse with a mix of tele monitor techs and PCTs. RN's must be able to read strips as tele monitor techs monitor patients.
• Equipment & Tech:
  Patients may require Cpap, Bipap, and high flow oxygen.
• Orientation:
  Completed with 2 shadow/orientation shifts for the department.
• Additional Information:
  Transitioning to electronic health record system (EPIC) scheduled for October 30th, 2026.
• Licensing: RN license required; no BSN or specific license to submit.
