The Manager in Training (MIT) works with the store manager and teams to achieve sales goals, drive a customer-focused environment, manage talent and performance, and execute visual standards. MIT participates in a training program that prepares them for a store manager position within 3–6 months and is expected to relocate to a specific store or group of stores.

  Manage sales goals using performance reports, adjust plans, oversee payroll hours, assess business needs for scheduling, and direct sales programs.

  Make hiring decisions, develop successors, provide positive and corrective feedback, coach associates, and create a rewarding working climate.
• Operational Execution
  :
  Maintain store safety and inventory loss controls, execute company direction (POS, visual, HR, operations), enforce policies, and respond to violations.

• High School Diploma or GED required; a business or retail merchandising degree preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment; fashion industry experience is a plus.
• Proven track record of achieving goals and executing company direction.
• Experience hiring, promoting, and motivating talent.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Professionalism, diligence, and perseverance in the face of setbacks.
• Commitment to a specific store location or group of stores.

Work varied hours/days as business dictates. Able to reach, push, pull, stand, squat and bend for up to 8 hours; operate all store equipment, computerized register system, and move merchandise up to 50 pounds.
