Position Summary Resource Center Coordinator manages inventory and ensures efficient product rotation, minimizing waste while maintaining stock levels to meet pantry needs. This role includes receiving donations, arranging pickups, maintaining sanitation, and supporting general warehouse/storage and center operations. The Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring compliance with safety standards and providing a clean, organized environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receiving - Accurately accounts for all products received; assists in picking up retail, completing receiving forms for inventory documentation and receipts of donated products.

Inspect incoming products for compliance with Feeding America and ETFB guidelines, including temperature, packaging, expiration dates, and pest/contamination concerns.

Serve as primary role to ensure that retail and any food donations is picked/received up by Coordinator, reported as required and ensure that follows all safety standards before transitioning food to pantry.

Safely operate and handle material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand dollies) to prevent injuries and damage to products or equipment.

Works with and may oversee work of volunteers, requiring the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in explaining procedures or following up with volunteers.

Inventory Management Communicate inventory needs with the Manager and coordinate with the Specialist to stock shelves and prepare for distribution days.

Enforce food safety compliance as required by Feeding America, Texas Department of Agriculture, and USDA standards.

Accurately organize, store, and label items by product type, size, expiration date, and product code.

Arrange for the removal and pickup of expired products to minimize waste.

Facilities Support Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including warehouse/storage areas, grounds, freezers, coolers, and pantry spaces.

Address spills immediately, ensure walkways and exits remain clear, and secure all equipment and facilities as required.

Promptly report maintenance issues or repair needs to the Manager.

Center Support Exhibit professionalism and respect in all interactions with staff, volunteers, clients, and the public.

May perform other duties as assigned, such as but not limited to pest control, furniture moving, facility repair, helping with pickup and deliveries, etc. Additional duties as assigned by the Resource Center Manager and Specialist.

Communicate concerns and ideas to the Manager promptly and professionally.

Maintain accurate records, submit reports promptly, and represent the Center during Community engagement or ETFB-related events.

Occasionally travel to ETFB Main Office or other Resource Centers for additional support.

Supports the center budget and contributes to meet operational goals

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and ETFB regulations.

Working Conditions Warehouse/Storage and pantry environment involving extensive walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting items over 70 pounds.

Regular use of material handling equipment and exposure to variable weather conditions from mild to extreme heat and cold, fumes, air particles.

Occasional extended work hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.

Educations and Experience Previous experience in customer service and warehouse/pantry operations

High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Skills & Abilities Certified or working towards certification to operate material handling equipment.

Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Competence in mathematical reasoning and interpretation of safety regulations.

Ability to work with diverse populations and foster positive relationships.

Flexibility to adapt to variable situations and willingness to learn all pantry and warehouse functions.

Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and minimum age of 21.Language English required;
Spanish proficiency preferred.
