Job Description Overview :As an Event Sales Demonstrator, you will carry out engaging in-store food and non-food product demonstrations, showcasing your knowledge and enthusiasm for our offerings. You will present products to consumers in an inviting and professional manner, contributing to a seamless shopping experience.
Responsibilities:- Acquire a solid understanding of the products you will be demonstrating.
- Proactively engage customers, demonstrating and selling products with a positive attitude.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the products.
- Prepare and serve food samples using common kitchen appliances (e.g., microwaves, fryers).
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment with proper sanitation practices.
- Dress professionally and maintain a well-groomed appearance at all times.
- Set up and prepare the event display for effective product execution.
- Aim for 100% completion of assigned duties.
- Assist in preparations for client visits and implement any necessary audit corrections.
- Build and sustain positive rapport with store personnel to meet both client and company objectives.
- Submit accurate expense reports in compliance with company policies.
- Complete all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
This role is designed for a maximum of 25 hours per week, with flexibility based on business and client requirements. Please be aware that these job functions are not exhaustive; you may be expected to follow other job-related instructions from management as needed.
QualificationsTo excel in this position, candidates must satisfactorily perform essential duties. The qualifications outlined below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED; one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time.
- Walk and move around the retail environment.
- Use hands and fingers effectively to handle or manipulate products.
- Reach with both hands and arms, including overhead.
- Capable of speaking and hearing effectively.
- Visual ability to read instructions and manage events.
- Perform physical actions including stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Occasionally climb using a 6' ladder.
- Maintain balance while carrying/loading products up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart weighing up to 300 pounds.
- Prepare food safely using various kitchen utensils.
- Be comfortable working with cleaning supplies.
Professional appearance is essential, including neat grooming. Adhere to specific retailer dress code requirements provided in training documents. Tattoos must be covered during work assignments.
SpecificSkills:
Proficient in using a Personal Computer and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Specialized Knowledge:A local food handlers permit may be necessary.
Supervisory Responsibilities:None.
Working Conditions:This position requires working in a retail store environment with some travel involved.
LanguageSkills:
Primary language skill is English; however, bilingual skills may be necessary based on business needs.
