Overview
Looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team, who is a team player. The ideal candidate will have experience with and be proficient with:
Allen Bradley Communications—Device net & Ethernet;
Scanning and Optimization systems within the Lumber Business (Baxley, USNR);
Process Network Communication Systems and Components—Ethernet & Fiber Optic.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or repair needs.
- Troubleshoot, program, and upgrade Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Program AC & DC variable speed drives.
- Update power distribution systems, MCCs, and switch gear.
- Install electrical equipment.
- Work with vendors to identify needed parts and make recommendations to the Supervisor.
- Understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to read and understand drawings and printed instructions
- Self-starter who can work safely under high-pressure situations
- Experience testing electrical systems and circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures
- Experience inspecting electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or repair needs
- Experience with PLC programming and upgrades
- Ability to work with vendors to identify needed parts and communicate with Supervisor
- Ability to understand and update instrumentation loop diagrams, E & I drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Experience programming AC & DC variable speed drives
- Experience updating power distribution systems, MCCs, and switch gear
- Experience installing electrical equipment
- 3 years of industrial electrician experience troubleshooting, correcting, and maintaining electrical equipment in a manufacturing facility
Travel Required:
Yes — 10 to 15% for training and development
