The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves interpreting technical schematics, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Technician leads and mentors team members, manages service calls, and supports preventive maintenance programs to optimize system performance and reliability.

Effective communication with customers and collaboration with management are essential to deliver quality service while adhering to safety protocols and operational procedures.

What You'll Do...

  • Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork, control panels, and building pneumatics.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and minimize downtime.
  • Conduct inspections and repairs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including refrigerant handling protocols.
  • Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
  • Manage service calls, coordinate with external providers, and maintain accurate documentation and inventory.
  • Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.
What You'll Bring...
  • Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
  • Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration and compliance.
  • Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring technicians on technical procedures and safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical issues and coordinate with customers and service providers.
  • Capability to manage service calls, inventory, and documentation using digital tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles safely.
Minimum Qualifications ...

Option 1:
Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls. Option 2: 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field. Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling. Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.

Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
