West Fraser is hiring an Industrial Millwright for our Engineering & Maintenance team in Manufacturing & Production. In this full-time role, you will install, troubleshoot and maintain state-of-the-art milling and material handling equipment in a fast-paced wood products facility. Responsibilities include mechanical repairs, welding, hydraulics/pneumatics, preventive maintenance and equipment upgrades. You'll work closely with a safety-focused, collaborative team that values respect, integrity, openness and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment in a high-volume wood products mill
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on milling and material handling systems
- Conduct equipment alignments, rebuilds and overhauls to OEM standards
- Fabricate and weld components to support modifications and repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals and technical drawings
- Follow all safety, lockout/tagout and environmental procedures
- Collaborate with Engineering & Maintenance teams to improve reliability
- Document maintenance activities in CMMS or required logs
- Support continuous improvement and capital projects as needed
