Field Trip Specialist
Job Summary:
The Field Trip Specialist manages, coordinates, and assigns all field trips and off-campus educational experiences for the school district. This role serves as the central hub between school administrators, teachers, the transportation department, and external venues. The primary focus is to ensure that all student trips are scheduled efficiently, comply with district safety policies, remain within budget, and are adequately staffed.
Additionally, as a licensed professional, the Field Trip Specialist will actively drive school buses for designated routes, field trips, or as emergency backup coverage.
Qualifications:
Must posses and maintain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements, along with a clean driving record and current DOT medical examiner's certificate. High School Diploma or GED required. 2-3 years of experience in logistic, scheduling, or administrative support, preferably within an educational or student transportation environment. Proven experience safely operating a school bus.
Working Conditions:
Standard school district business hours, though frequent early morning, evening, or weekend availability is required to align with scheduled trips and emergency driving needs.
