Safely operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods. This position requires both driving and hands‑on responsibilities, including loading and unloading cargo, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a CDL Class A commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner
- Transport goods to and from designated locations while meeting delivery schedules
- Load and unload freight manually or using equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts
- Inspect cargo to ensure it is properly secured and protected
- Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles and report any mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
- Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers
- Provide professional customer service at delivery and pickup locations
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned vehicle
