Minimum Qualifications: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for accounts receivable tasks associated with third party reimbursements, financial aid scholarships and awards, students’ accounts and performing tasks required for an accurate accounts receivable system.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting student account and billing operations by performing the following duties:
- Enter, update, and retrieve student account data related to registration, third-party vouchers, financial holds, tuition, and bookstore charges.
- Assist students and internal departments in resolving issues related to tuition coverage, billing, costs, and financial aid.
- Research and analyze student account information using knowledge of credit, collections, and financial aid to determine third-party tuition coverage and account status.
- Balance invoices and student account reports to determine whether refunds are due or outstanding balances are owed prior to releasing refund payments.
- Maintain and monitor aged student accounts receivable and participate in related collection efforts in accordance with institutional policies.
- Support records retention activities and coordinate record disposal in compliance with established retention schedules and policies.
