Duties, Responsibilities & Other
  • Inspect active roadway and bridge construction projects, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Prepare detailed reports on construction progress, inspection, and testing.
  • Record and measure field quantities; conduct tests to ensure contractor compliance.
  • Experience on NCDOT projects and current NCDOT certifications are preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of inspection experience on NCDOT projects is preferred.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening; background and motor vehicle checks may be required.
Performance Expectations
  • Accurate daily reporting and effective communication.
  • Problem-solving at the lowest level and adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Safety compliance and certification maintenance.
  • Understanding and following OSHA standards and company policies.
  • Participation in training and adherence to industry standards.
