Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organizational and time‑management skills while establishing retailer relationships as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations.
Salary and Schedule Details- Starting hourly pay rate of $14.50 to $16.50 per hour
- Paid training via live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions
- Part‑time employees receive voluntary benefits (medical, dental, vision, etc.)
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases
- Variable part‑time schedule with an average of 7–14 hours per week
- Availability required before and after major holidays, which may include weekends
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support
- Day‑to‑day engagement: restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory using a mobile device; communicate with supervisors and provide feedback through required surveys.
- Holiday support: additional days and extended hours during holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, with possible work on the holidays themselves.
- Department resets: assist with installations, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Two weeks’ advance notice is provided for remodel assignments; evening or weekend work may occur.
- Team collaboration: support field partners as needed across territories.
This physically demanding job requires strong energy and urgency. Work on the selling floor and back stockrooms must involve pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 30 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Tasks include kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and occasionally climbing stairs or step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age
- Read, write, and understand English
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally
- Operate a digital hand‑held device for reading documents and interpreting information
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet
- Reliable transportation to and between assigned stores on schedule
