Nurse Practitioner - Palliative Care (Sign-On Bonus / Relocation Bonus)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time, in-person Nurse Practitioner to join our team and help grow palliative care services in Onslow County, NC. This role combines direct patient care with program development and community engagement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide palliative care to patients in personal residences, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities

• Manage a caseload of 20+ visits per week (approx. 4-5 visits/day)

• Conduct a weekly palliative care clinic

• Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, medication administration, and advance care planning

• Coordinate care with community providers and participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings

• Occasionally perform hospice face-to-face visits (1-3 per month)

• Build referral relationships and promote services through community events, presentations, and public speaking

• Lay the groundwork for potential future hospital-based program expansion

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

• Current NP certification (AANP or ANCC)

• Licensed or license-eligible in NC

• 5+ years of general medical experience; 4-5 years as a Nurse Practitioner

• Palliative care experience required

• Leadership and teaching experience

• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
