POSITION SUMMARYProvides professional pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Functions as scrub nurse/assistant or circulating nurse during surgical procedures. Provides patient care in accordance with prescribed, delegated medical regimen and hospital policies.
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCEGraduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, with current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
Incumbent will be required to attain BCLS certification within 3 months of hire; recertification required annually.
ACLS, PALS, TNCC or MICN required per unit policy, in order to be designated as Charge Nurse.
