Role Description

The Rescue Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Lumberton, TX. This position is responsible for providing standby rescue coverage during high-risk work such as confined space entry, working at height, and other hazardous operations. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting and maintaining rescue and safety equipment, setting up and monitoring safe work areas, and performing emergency rescue and first-response actions when needed.

The Rescue Technician supports safety training activities, assists with job hazard assessments, and works closely with supervisors and clients to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and company procedures. The role also involves completing documentation, participating in drills, and maintaining readiness for rapid deployment to client sites.

Qualifications
  • Rescue and safety skills: proficiency in confined space and high-angle rescue techniques, fall protection usage, and emergency response procedures.
  • Operational skills: ability to inspect, maintain, and operate rescue, fall protection, breathing apparatus, and communication equipment safely and reliably.
  • Safety and compliance knowledge: familiarity with OSHA and relevant industry safety standards, job hazard analysis, and safe work permitting processes.
  • Communication and teamwork: strong situational awareness, clear verbal communication, and ability to work effectively within a rescue team and with client personnel.
  • Physical readiness: capability to lift and carry equipment, work in confined spaces or at heights, and perform tasks under demanding environmental conditions.
  • Experience and training: prior industrial or technical rescue experience, completion of recognized rescue and first aid/CPR training; advanced certifications (e.g., confined space rescue, rope rescue) are preferred.
  • Other qualifications: valid driver's license with reliable transportation, willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies, and a commitment to continuous safety training and skills development.
