Secretary (confidential employee) sought to provide administrative support to the Lunenburg School Committee including the recording/transcription of meeting minutes. Requires attendance at school committee meetings--both regularly scheduled and special meetings convened outside of the regular meeting schedule. This is a part-time, non-benefit-eligible position. Hours will vary depending on the number of meetings held and providing accurate minutes, but it is anticipated that the position will demand 2 to 10 hours per week.
Hiring is subject to satisfactory CORI and SAFIS Background Checks per 603 CMR 51.

Primary Responsibility:
Provide administrative support to the school committee includes the transcription of meeting minutes.
Qualifications:
* High School Diploma
* Minimum of three years' office experience
* Coursework and/or demonstrated experience in office procedure, word processing, multimedia presentations, and website maintenance (posting information)
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation
* Knowledge of office practices and procedures.
* Knowledge of Parliamentary Procedure (Robert's Rules of Order)
* Skill communicating both verbally and in writing
* Skill interacting with members of the school community and the public at large
* Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Apps proficiently
* Ability to record meeting minutes and compose letters independently
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate good judgment, tact and courtesy in all situations
* Ability to listen/understand, process information, and carry out complex oral and written directions
* Ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task, and maintain a high level of self-motivation
Responsibilities:
* Attend all regular school committee meetings as well as special meetings convened outside of the regular meeting schedule.
* Take minutes of meeting proceedings and within a weekly time following the meeting prepare minutes using the prescribed format for review/approval by the school committee.
