Music Instructor, Voice
Instrumental instructors are sought to teach vocal techniques. All applicants should have experience in private teaching on said instruments and be pedagogically trained as a specialist in the area of voice.
Teachers will be expected to train the students in their studio on pedagogy and practice techniques that will make the student more proficient on their instrument in multiple genres. Teachers will also be required to help prepare the repertoire that has been assigned to the student by the student’s in-school music teachers (if applicable). This includes book work and concert pieces.
In addition to this, you will gauge each student’s ability and make sure to offer to all students who you deem fit the opportunity to prepare and audition for Junior and/or Senior Districts.
Lesson sessions run in 6-week cycles, with the exception of a smaller, 8-week session at the end of the year. Lessons are done in 30 minute and 1-hour increments in single (common) or small group settings (uncommon) once a week.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS- Strong communications skills; verbal and non-verbal.
These are non-benefit eligible positions.
