Logistics Specialist (Entry-Level Freight Operations)

Full-Time | On-Site | South Baltimore, MD

Compensation:

• $45,000-$50,000 for early‑career candidates
• Up to $55,000-$60,000 for applicants with direct freight forwarding experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Environment: In‑person, collaborative, family‑oriented culture

A growing logistics and transportation company in South Baltimore is looking for an energetic Logistics Specialist to join its operations team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, communicating with customers, and keeping fast‑moving work organized. You'll gain hands‑on exposure to trucking, warehousing, freight forwarding, and brokerage operations - making this a strong entry point for a long‑term logistics career.

• Monitor and update shipment activity, including tracking, tracing, and status reporting
• Enter and maintain accurate data related to orders, quotes, and shipment details
• Communicate with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth movement of freight
• Support coordination across multiple service areas (trucking, warehouse, forwarding, brokerage)
• Troubleshoot delays or service issues and provide timely updates to stakeholders
• Build strong working relationships through clear communication and reliable follow‑through

• Some exposure to logistics, transportation, scheduling, or customer service
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a variety of people
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
