Level 2 & Level 3 Nursery Nurses - Dunstable, Luton, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, St Albans & Harpenden
Keep Education is seeking experienced and passionate Level 2 and Level 3 Nursery Nurses to join nurseries and early years settings across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
We work with a wide range of nurseries and early years providers to deliver safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environments for young children. Flexible opportunities are available across Dunstable, Luton, Stevenage, Welwyn Garden City, St Albans, and Harpenden.
Role DescriptionAs a Nursery Nurse, you will support the care and development of children, delivering activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth. You will work alongside colleagues to maintain a safe, nurturing environment, helping children reach their full potential and preparing them for the next stage of their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Support children with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and rest
- Observe and monitor children's development and report progress
- Maintain a safe and clean environment at all times
- Promote positive behaviour and support social and emotional development
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and management
- Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Care and Education (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Experience caring for children across different age groups
- Understanding of child development and learning strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and reliability
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Organisation and attention to detail
- Enthusiasm and creativity in planning activities
