Cover Nursery manager group Clarence Day Nurseries

Are you an experienced Early Years leader who thrives on variety and enjoys leading teams to deliver outstanding childcare? We are looking for a dynamic Cover Nursery Manager to join our nursery group, providing leadership and stability across our settings.

This is a key role supporting our nurseries during periods of absence – covering managers’ holidays and stepping in as interim manager while we recruit for permanent leadership positions.

You will be required to travel across our nursery sites in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and Northamptonshire.

This is a full-time permanent position. You will be working 40 hours a week.

Your rate of pay will be from £36,000/year, depending on experience.

• Step into the role of Nursery Manager across different sites, ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the nursery;
• Lead, inspire, and support staff teams to deliver high-quality care and education;
• Maintain compliance with Ofsted, EYFS, safeguarding, health & safety and relevant early years legislation;
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers;
• Drive occupancy, staff morale, and operational excellence wherever you are based;
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the group through best practice sharing and development planning;
• Represent the nursery group professionally, adapting quickly to new environments and team structures.

• Previous experience as a Nursery Manager or an experienced Deputy Manager ready to take the next step
• A full and relevant Level 3 or above childcare qualification
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new environments
• Excellent knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
• Flexibility to travel between nurseries within our group
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
