We are looking to hire 4 Seasonal Ecologists for the Luton office starting in March 2026, through to November 2026.

About the Role

Pell Frischmann is seeking to appoint Seasonal Field Ecologists to join their Ecology team in the Luton office from March 2026 until November 2026 to assist with field work and reporting relating to bat surveying. As a result you must have your own transport and be able to work dawn and dusk surveys.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks incorporating the following elements:

  • Undertaking a range of bat surveys including the use of thermal and infrared cameras and both handheld and automated detectors.
  • Ecological coordination and survey arrangements, including logistics and access arrangements.
  • Monitoring site activities and liaising with the project team to ensure surveys are completed as scheduled and in line with project requirements.
  • Sound and video data analysis of data gathered during the surveys.
  • Report input for the bat surveys undertaken.
  • Occasional desk‑based support for the wider ecology team involving preparation of reports and undertaking data searches.
