Mobile Electrician

Overview

Mobile Electrician needed for a large, well‑known Facilities Management organisation based in Luton. The role offers a competitive salary range of £40,000–£43,000 per annum, along with a company van, fuel card, and work tools.

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of plant and limited engineering assets, ensuring all activities are completed safely and in a timely manner.
• Perform routine Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on the electrical infrastructure and plant in accordance with site task schedules and CAFM systems.
• Respond to and remediate reactive tasks across sites, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
• Maintain plant logs, spares, and parts lists, and estimate timescales for remedial work.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and CAFM entries for PPM, reactive, and breakdown work, passing information to the contract administrator without delay.
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices.
• Provide a safe and healthy working environment, including wearing uniform and PPE at all times.
• Supervise and monitor subcontractor work while on site for maintenance activities.
• Maintain awareness of and compliance with contractual KPI’s/SLA’s.

• Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
• Level 3 NVQ in Electrical or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds Technical Certificate in Electrical).
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations.

• IPAF certification.
• PLASMA certification.
