Responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and implementing an instructional program for students through curriculum, lesson plans, and educational programs, while ensuring that all procedures are followed to maintain safety and security and to meet federal, state, and local regulations.

• Bachelor s degree from an accredited institution
• OR
• Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program

• Valid Florida Educator s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification
• OR
• Valid statement of eligibility

• Reading Endorsement preferred. Candidates with a Reading Endorsement or who are willing to sign an agreement to earn an endorsement may be prioritized for hiring.

This position may require teaching an additional period beyond the base contract. If this occurs, additional compensation will be paid at the negotiated rate in addition to base salary for instructing this period. The amount will be paid as a supplement and disbursed in equal payments according to the District s payroll calendar and is considered part of the salary for Florida Retirement System purposes.

Pasco County Schools utilizes the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse for fingerprinting and Level II background screening.
