Key Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring effective, individualized care.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities for patients in geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, outpatient, and acute care settings.
  • Observe, assess, and document patient responses and progress, reporting changes or concerns promptly to the supervising PT.
  • Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and techniques to promote continued recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough treatment records, progress notes, and other required documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members—including RNs, PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists—to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all patients.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting or equivalent education and experience.
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Experience in home health, preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, ethical, and high-quality patient care.
