• Provide nurse‑first assistant care in the operating room, utilizing effective managerial skills.
• Act as a professional role model for other nursing team members and promote staff development.
• Perform trocar insertion under direct surgeon supervision and provide local anesthetic injection under surgeon supervision.
• Meet competency requirements: complete assigned competencies and obtain physician sign‑off for six trocar placements and six local anesthetic injections with at least two different surgeons within 90 days.

• Minimum 3 years RN experience in the operating room;
  Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) certification required.
• Completion of Registered Nurse First Assistant Technical Program required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and BLS certification.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma (Bachelor’s preferred);
  Technical Diploma – Registered Nurse First Assistant.
