FAT Test Technician

The (FAT) Test Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining quality standards by assisting in the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of Checkweighers, Metal Detectors, and X-Ray systems. This position is vital in ensuring system integrity prior to shipment, contributing to the overall quality assurance process.

• Interpret and follow detailed mechanical prints, electrical schematics, parts lists, assembly instructions, and established processes and procedures.
• Report quality issues, process inconsistencies, and equipment/material concerns to the Quality Management team.
• Assist in conducting customer-driven and internal FAT protocols for Checkweighers, Metal Detectors, and X-Ray systems.
• Support post-FAT hand-offs to Production, Engineering, and Service departments.
• Monitor and assist in managing the FAT calendar and workload scheduling.
• Learn and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the FAT Workspace.
• Develop operational competency in handling Quality transactions using the SAP business system.
• Collaborate with Value Stream Quality Engineers as needed.
• Ensure FAT areas comply with 5S and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, reflecting positively on our customers.
• Enhance professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops and training.
• Maintain various quality reports as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
