Job Summary:

PAR is a leading publisher of psychological assessment materials founded in 1978, with tools designed to impact and help our customers serve their clients. If you are an undergraduate (junior or senior) student or recent graduate with a psychology (or related field) degree, you will gain excellent experience and work in a collaborative and positive work environment while enhancing your skills.

Our office is in the Lutz/Tampa Bay area, and the position is in-person in the R&D department. As an R&D psychology intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by attending department and project meetings and assisting R&D staff with project work.

Supervisory Responsibilities None.

Essential Functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

Performs writing/editorial duties including technical writing, literature reviews, scholarly marketing content, bibliographies, and training materials. These duties are supervised by the project lead, who maintains overall responsibility for content.

Under supervision, assists with data collection, data entry, and statistical analysis.

Working with project leads, prepares, and submits test materials to examiners for tests under development.

Prepares research results for dissemination in products or for various internal and external audiences.

With overall supervision of the project lead, prepare requirement documents including reports, presentations, and requirements documents for digital products.

Tracks and manages all aspects of the day-to-day project tasks as assigned, including managing hourly research support efforts toward various development projects.

Working with colleagues –Treats all others with professionalism and respect, valuing divergent opinions and diversity.

Proactive in taking on whatever tasks are required to achieve project success.

Communicates issues and status of work efforts to project lead and direct supervisor.

Performs other similar or related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience:

Pursuing, or recently graduated with, a bachelor’s degree in psychology (or related field).Ability to use word-processing, spreadsheet, and database packages.

Basic knowledge of a statistical software package (e.g., SPSS, R).Experience working with a survey application a plus (e.g., Survey Monkey, Qualtrics, Question Pro).Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, working knowledge of APA publication guidelines.
